How educated are Mukesh Ambani, Reliance company started this way
Dhiru Bhai always gave good education to his children. He did not compromise in terms of education. Mukesh Ambani was always a bright student. While he was completing school education, Vimal became a big textile brand. Everyone close to Dhiru Bhai had asked Mukesh to do chemical engineering. But, Mukesh surprised everyone with his choice. He opted for Chemical Engineering.
Mukesh Ambani cleared the IIT entrance exam. Yes, very few people in India are aware of this fact. He went to IIT Bombay and opted for Chemical Engineering.
However, he did not like the IIT as well as the then faculty of the course. He decided to opt out. It may surprise you that Mukesh decided to leave IIT Bombay and went to the University Department of Chemical Technology at Bombay University after the inter-science results were over. Here again Dhiru Bhai supported this amazing move.
Mukesh started working for Reliance after completing the chemical engineering course. He was actually working for the company during his entire college term at Bombay University.
But, there was a feeling that something was missing. He began appearing in almost all competitive exams, with friends. You may be surprised to know that Mukesh has also appeared for the Civil Services Examination. Not to become a civil servant but to check where he used to stand. It is really interesting and shows the character of the man. He also applied to the top three universities in the United States and received a call letter from Stanford. He decided to join the MBA program at Stanford.
In the last six months, Mukesh Ambani at Stanford planned to go to the World Bank's Young Professionals Program. He was very excited to join the event. He had a discussion with Dhiru Bhai, who again supported him. However Dhiru Bhai told him that he was going to start work on the polyester plant.
